VENTO NV is a company specializing in the production of profiles for rectangular air ducts and particularly in the production of pressed fittings for circular ducts.
VENTO NV will be the technical coordinator of the project and will be responsible for the potential application of the novel insulation materials on pipes and ducts and in pipe-in-pipe cavities, development of the process and prototyping.
Today VENTO is supplying customers in over 41 different countries, with an average production of 400 tons/month. 90% of our output is intended for export. In a very short term, the company has grown into one of the 5 largest producers in Europe in this field. Our experience and testing facilities will be used in the project to assess material performance and processability of aeroclay composite materials within the SHIELD project against our existing half-shell insulation system design.

Sirris is the collective R&D centre of the Belgian technological industry. Role in the project: Sirris will help to set up guidelines for integrating the spray/injection equipment in the industrial environment of the partners and to support the product development. Role in the project: UK MatRI will bring their experience of macroscopic and nanoscopic composite production and processing to the project. Their primary role will be to lead the development of a spray deposition system suited to in situ deposition of the SHIELD material. Taking into consideration the requirements of our end users within the project, UK MatRI will seek to identify an application system which can meet the requirements of our consortium partners.
